About Me
About my walls: I make them for myself and I set high standards for my work. XD
My walls must have color, depth, and composition such that I won't get bored looking at them after a while. Therefore I am a relatively slow waller (and perfectionist!) I like to use vectoring and tablet painting together. One of my favorite techniques is using vector masks to give clean edges while painting. See my vector tut for more details. :)
Stuff about me: I've had private art instruction since I was 11, and normal after school art classes before then. This was in traditional art though, and taught by professional artist Dante Rondo. I never took public school art courses. I've had my stuff shown in a restaurant and at a local art gallery in my hometown (at age 15). I attended CSSSA in 2004. In highschool I taught myself how to use photoshop since it was required at an internship I did that makes army training games. I learned a bit of 3Ds Max there too. Whee!
Currently I'm a college student at the University of California San Diego, a Biology Major, and an ICAM (Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts) Minor.
Other misc stuff:
Yes, that's me in my avatar! It all started with a joke my friends made...they said I resemble the Mona Lisa and Trinity from the Matrix, so I first Photoshopped a pic of my head on the Mona Lisa's body (with shocking revelations O_O) and then I posed with some shades on for the heck of it. Later I Photoshopped a signature of me in my "Trinity" pose with added Matrix background effects and colors...and there you have it. It shocked my friends out hahaha. The avatar is a cropped portion of that signature. The Mona Lisa (or Mona Nysha) pic can be found here: http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l58/Nysha88/monalisajillcopy.jpg And the original "Trinsha" signature here: http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l58/Nysha88/jillmatrix3.png

Thank you Jill, glad you liked it, so you did love the scan ? The most thing that attracted me is the lights on his body, anyway Thanks again!
Hi Jill, thanks for the nice comment ^^ glad you like it! I really appreciate it! Between I got a nice scan, I will send it to you, I hope you'll like it! ;) But I like the most the one you chose!
For the image size I couldn't help since my poor laptop have a 1280X800 screen resolution.. gomen ne~
Just read your post. Sorry for the late reply. My initial intention was to do a face close up. But it ended up more of half-body one. In the near future, I really want to do a wall with just details on face and hair. I've read your tutorial and I still am kinda lost. But, I did apply some of your techniques on the eye tutorial for my upcoming wall. Anyway, have a nice day.

Thanks a bunch for the comment!
Where would you like to see more glossy-ness on the glass? The edges? On the glass itself? I was trying out different places, but they all ended up looking retarded, but maybe if I had a specific place it would look good =D
I started looking for nice scans and I'm doing a non-Naruto wall right now. I've been dissecting your tutorial on eyes. And quite frankly, I seem to be lost in some of its steps. Especially at the early part. I dunno if I've been doing it correctly but I can't get the effect that you made with smudging the dark lines of the iris. Anyway, I've started reading on gradient techniques and I'm gonna apply it to the new wall. I'll let you know when I post it. Thanks
PaoPorsche
Please to make bishie wall really soon *_*
