About Me
About my walls: I make them for myself and I set high standards for my work. XD
My walls must have color, depth, and composition such that I won't get bored looking at them after a while. Therefore I am a relatively slow waller (and perfectionist!) I like to use vectoring and tablet painting together. One of my favorite techniques is using vector masks to give clean edges while painting. See my vector tut for more details. :)
Stuff about me: I've had private art instruction since I was 11, and normal after school art classes before then. This was in traditional art though, and taught by professional artist Dante Rondo. I never took public school art courses. I've had my stuff shown in a restaurant and at a local art gallery in my hometown (at age 15). I attended CSSSA in 2004. In highschool I taught myself how to use photoshop since it was required at an internship I did that makes army training games. I learned a bit of 3Ds Max there too. Whee!
Currently I'm a college student at the University of California San Diego, a Biology Major, and an ICAM (Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts) Minor.

Yes, that's me in my avatar! It all started with a joke my friends made...they said I resemble the Mona Lisa and Trinity from the Matrix, so I first Photoshopped a pic of my head on the Mona Lisa's body (with shocking revelations O_O) and then I posed with some shades on for the heck of it. Later I Photoshopped a signature of me in my "Trinity" pose with added Matrix background effects and colors...and there you have it. It shocked my friends out hahaha. The avatar is a cropped portion of that signature. Sad thing about me is that I also have urges to be creative and wall...too bad I\'m amidst midterms and essays and...just...shoot me now. ;___;
Lol, I always click on the most random galleries/scans when I\'m experiencing waller\'s block. It helps sometimes and I usually find a scan with whom I \'click\' and become best buddy with...for the next couple of days/weeks. XD

I really love how it turned out and .. well =D from Tens point of view it's a bit sad that you released your wall at almost the same time as him. I really think you should have gotten that highlight EVEN THOUGH his art is still amazing and probably years away from what I can do (actually I might have been able to do that too, but not to be creative enough to think of that). Yours is "the usual vector+paint", however: it's the quality and execution which makes it so much better than many other wallpapers. It is really so emotional - even though you might not see it.
I'll put this as a wallpaper on my new notebook which I'm most likely buying this weekend. And if people ask "wth is that" (most of them don't know what anime is - nor what vectoring or painting is), I'll be like: it's some gorgeous wallpaper. Maybe I'm leaning too much out of the window by saying that I think the vector+painting-"category" should have a place in arts-history as does "Albrecht Dürrer" and other famous artists (and their styles). And if that category was to be there then certainly you, Sashinka and a few others should be named as one of those executing these kinds of wallpapers in the "sub-category" anime :D.
Mhh.. my English is not good enough to describe it better, but I hope you get the idea :D. Anyway: great work and I'm eagerly waiting for more!
